Inbetween day N nite,
That's how we gave her that name, right?
So that's when her blogging takes flight,
Hopefully it will add colour and light.

"Smart Tag"
I wonder who was the first person thought of the one in one out access card? I wonder they themselves ever tried it. It is sheer stupidity and crap! Sorry but no offence but there is soooo many example of unnecessary hassle. What’s the point? Is it to keep track of attendance? Then what happen if the person forgot his/her tag? And the necessity of recording your attendance by pen and paper? Or to keep track how many times so one goes to toilet?
Imagine that you are stuck alone in the office after working hour and there is not a soul around. Before that, someone KPC turned the knob, just after he closed the door. You tag out & d*rn, the door stuck and congratulations, you are “home alone” in the office! You are very much welcome to urinate on the office carpet, sleep on the desk and eat up everybody’s food on their table.
That was pure imagination but you can’t rule out the possibility. A first hand story, a group of 5 (me included) was going visit the toilet, that time was doing testing, only few more “permanent” staff have the ever precious one in one out access card. Alas, some KPC turned the door knob & we tag the first card – turned the knob, did not budge. Found a second card, tagged, still stuck. Nature called, urgently. Lucky, found a third card, tried another door. Phew…
Scenario no 2 – someone in front of me tagged… the door is rather wide open. I tagged, missed the door, it closed! I tagged again, got locked out. Crap. In the midst of trying to hold the door, I knocked my mug on the door. It cracked, after surviving 5 times of moving; from A/S to uni, to my sister’s house to Setapak to Ampang to current new place. It survived but the door cracked it and I got stuck outside. Dumb.
Well then, I have had it. Things are stress enough without the help of the door and the smart tag. I just don’t get it, why would someone use such inconvenience “technology”.

Still at that - Boredom
I am so bored
Think I am going to rot
My brain is so clogged
No doubt soon I’ll have brain block
Watch TV? No good show
VCD/DVD? My stock is so low
Books? Not enough to go
I’m bored, think I might growl (grrr..)
Oh, please help me!
I’m infected with mushrooms and fleas
When am I going to break free
From this season of boredom and crappy
I’m bored! I’m bored! I’m BORED!
Like I’m being locked up in a fort
Or stuck inside a log
Do save me before I mould and rot :รพ

Mundane Underwriter?
The job that we had to do,
The things we will be handling,
Is not as easy as making poo,
Neither it is as easy as dodoi-ing.
Actual job is underwriting,
But jobscope goes far more than anything,
Clerical, Admin, even Actuary we are doing,
Practically everything except eating and sleeping.
Soon we will be able to handle from A-Z,
Later might as well do marketing, selling and handling queries,
And they say an underwriter is boring,
Come and try, test and see its doing.
News like this soon be all knowing,
Some people will be clapping,
Others will be crying,
This is so darn happening.
And who say going to Hub will be boring,
So many challenges, I could hardly be breathing,
So many rocks that needed turning,
My gosh, the journey is just starting!

Season of Boredom
I’ve search high and low
My pace is as caterpillar slow
Noted above flying are black crows
Everything will induce yawn and doze
Spring, autumn, winter and summer
But this season I’m in is vague and dimmer
Boredom is here to stay and linger
Restlessness would come sooner or later
Work takes longer to complete
Deadlines are harder to meet
Those are few in the signs and symptoms list
Things are either stationary or in crisis
The recurrence rate is just too high
After chemo or radiotherapy, you would still sigh
It’s so hard to tell if you are cured or will die
Boredocarcinoma will just squeeze me dry

Are you sure it's a 24 hours clinic?
I was woken up by a few attacks of sharp pain at my gaster. I figure, probably just my hallucination, well, I got weird dreams these days. However, the sharp pain was then followed by this churning feeling at my gaster. Then, it goes off. Unfortunately, that left my eyes wide open, staring at the ceiling. Thought I’ll just tire myself with watching of DVD. Dragged myself out of the bed, and started watching “The Terminal”. Catherine Zeta-Jones is still as beautiful.
Only half way of the show, I had paid several visits to the washroom. The sharp pain became more frequent. Hmmm, it has got to be that acute gastroenteritis thing again. Hey, I only had home-cooked food since morning. Wonder what trigger it. Never mind, had in mind that there is this “24 hours clinic” just a stone throw away from my place. It was then 3 am in the morning. I got out of the house and made my way to the so-call 24 hours clinic (mark my word, so-call).
Reached the clinic and rang the doorbell. An Indian clinic assistant let me into the shop and she dropped the bombshell – the doctor is not in. Crap, then why is it called 24 hours clinic? The doctor will only be in by 8 am the next morning. I feel so stupid woke up in the middle of the night and walked that short distance for nothing.
Did not continue with the movie, at least something is working. My eyes and brain were finally tired. At least I could get some sleep. Would wake up by 8 am the next day, see the doc, get an MC and continue to sleep. Alas, the doctor is NOT in at 8 am. I went again at 10 am, still NOT in. Was told by another clinic assistant to leave my phone number and she would call me when the doctor is in. W-T-H? Gosh, if I’m in severe dehydration state, I would have died waiting for the doctor!! Btw, credit to the clinic assistant, she did ring me.. but at 1 pm in the afternoon.
Finally decided to take a risk and took my bike to search for another doctor. After all, the pain is not continuously but once in like 10 minutes. Thank goodness, there is so many other clinics, though not within walking distance…
The end… I got my medication, MC and sleep…

All I wanted to do was to buy a birthday present
All I wanted to do was to buy a birthday present in JJ in Mid Valley Megamall (MV). Well, JJ is because I have some cash voucher and MV is because it’s the nearest from where I stay. Well, there must be something about MV because it was at 4 pm on a Sunday and it is full, full, even for motorcycle parking. The way to motorcycle parking was blocked and I can’t even go in. Fine, I know that there is another open air parking at the other side. I took my bike and go another round, found that place and it was rather empty. Well, it has its reason for being empty – I think need to walk at least like 20 minutes to reach the entrance of MV and I saw a few foreigners from neighboring countries parking their bikes. I was not keen to walk under the hot sun and not too comfortable to chuck my bike there, though I began to feel that my bike is old but I wont ditch it. Well, the next nearest JJ was in Taman Maluri. Cheras is not too far away, I reasoned. So, off I went….
Cheras really isn’t far away and I took the exit to Bandar Tun Razak. Mind you, I have not whatsoever memory of Bandar Tun Razak. Don’t remember any roads or trees or whatever, but still I went… haha… well, I’m not in a rush, its not really, really hot though it’s hot. Passed Taman Tasik Permaisuri, something like that… haha, it must be a joke cos my sister had just asked me if I want to go there. Well, at least I passed there. I was not too worry, as I know there is this HUKM. If I ever get so lost, I’ll just ask the way to HUKM and I’ll know how to get to where I want to go. Hmm… things were okay, I got to Jln Yaakob Latiff, saw Loke Yew but alas, I forgot that I wanted to go to Maluri instead of Leisure Mall, took the wrong turning, and was heading to south of Cheras. I was not keen of taking a U-turn at Leisure Mall so casually turned into Jalan Kuari, I knew it would head to Ampang but though there out to be a turning to KL. I got faith…
So much for my faith, Jalan Kuari leading to MRR II – leaving me option of Sg Besi, Hulu Langat and Kg Cheras Baru. The other 2 sounds a bit far off, but Kg Cheras Baru, still got the word Cheras. Took that turning, went the whole road, with turnings to Jalan 20, Jalan 17 – where is that? Gosh, I finally saw the word “MPAJ”. Sh*t, that’s the last place I want to be. From Ampang, I’ll probably need at least 30 minutes just to reach KL if I just go on straight. Though I seriously wanted to another route to go back to Maluri but Ampang is the last place I want to be. I dutifully U-turned and back to MRR II. Then I saw another road, quite a number of cars heading to this road call Jalan Semerah Padi. I have this perception that if got cars go, then it’s not a bad place. Decided to risk my luck and ha… the word Serkut on the road signs. I’m back to Cheras :) and then turning to Jalan Cheras Lama. Maluri JJ? On my right side :)
The way back was another disaster. At that time, I even wished I had stalked my friend when he goes home cos I had to go through 3 times on the same roundabout to get to the road that I want. But I’ll spare you with that.
Looking on the bright side, I have known KL slightly more and perhaps I would get lost in Cheras again. (hopefully)
